Who is Study Monkey?
We excel in providing exceptional Maths tutoring to help students build confidence and achieve higher marks. We offer flexible options, including at-home and online sessions, to suit your preferences. In addition to Maths, we cover all Australian curriculum subjects from Prep to Year 12
Is it one-on-one tutoring or group tutoring?
All of our mathematics sessions are one-on-one with the same tutor each week. This allows you or your child to get the most tailored support possible, meaning you'll see results super quickly!
Do the tutors come to me?
Yes! If you select our at-home maths tutoring option, tutors travel to you at your home (or preferred location) for maximum convenience. We are able to provide in-home tutoring all across South-East QLD including Brisbane, Ipswich and the Gold Coast. We also have home tutors throughout Canberra
How does payment work?
We want you to be 100% happy in our service so have super flexible payment options. All of our tutoring is completely pay as you go. You will be billed weekly in the week AFTER your session occurs. This allows tutors to mark off whether a lesson was actually attended or not so you are only being billed for sessions that went ahead
Do I have to go on a package?
No you don't! We have no lock-in contracts or packages. This means you can book 1 lesson or 100 and never pay for unnecessary lessons you may not use. You can also pause or cancel your service at any time. Our only policy is that we ask for at least 6 hours notice to cancel a pre-booked lesson to avoid being billed for that lesson
Yes! At the end of each session, you will receive a session report from your tutor. This details what was covered in the lesson as well as areas to improve and any work to do between lessons for even quicker results!

What is the qualification of your tutors?
Our tutors all hold Blue Cards/WWVP cards/Working With Children Checks depending on the state they are tutoring in. Each tutor has their own teaching subject specialities and we'll make sure to match you with the perfect person depending on the subject support you require. All tutors undergo comprehensive training in both the Australian curriculum requirements + best teaching practices so they are well equipped to support their students. On top of this, they receive a detailed check-in call with our highly experienced management team (who are also ex-tutors) on a fortnightly basis to discuss student progress and make sure lessons are on track.
We offer Maths tutoring to students from Prep all the way to Year 12. In QLD, for senior schooling, we offer all QCE Maths subjects including Essential Maths, General Maths, Maths Methods and Specialist Maths. For ACT students, we offer all BSSS courses including Essential Maths, Maths Applications, Maths Methods, Specialist Methods and Specialist Mathematics. We also have several tutors who specialise in IB, VCE and HSC tutoring so are able to assist for these courses also

All of our tutors are hand-picked and undergo formal tutor training with us on a regular basis to make sure they are up to date with curriculum changes and ready to assist you or your child reach their full potential. This includes the tricky ATAR system for Yr 11 and 12s! They also all hold Working With Children Checks and are regularly monitored by our management team who check in with them weekly to oversee the learning plans they are creating for their students. We'll make sure that your tutor is perfect for your needs!
Each week, you'll receive a detailed session report from your tutor detailing what was covered in the session, student strengths and areas for improvement, plus a plan for what to cover independently between sessions to support what was covered in the session. Tutoring lessons are tailored 100% for individual students. We don't believe in a cookie-cutter, 'one-size-fits-all' approach to tutoring. Every child is different, so why would we create programs meant to fit everyone? Instead, tutors work with you to find the best solution for your individual child and can work in with the learning plans in place at your individual school
